Itsy Bitsy Inc provides Early Intervention service coordination, evaluations, and therapeutic services for eligible children from birth to age 3 throughout the five boroughs of New York City. Our team supports families every step of the way and helps children learn, communicate, play, and participate in everyday activities.
Services are provided through the New York State Early Intervention Program at no cost to eligible families.

Itsy Bitsy Inc is approved to provide Early Intervention service coordination, evaluations, and therapeutic services throughout the five boroughs of New York City. Services are provided in natural environments, including the child's home, daycare, and community settings where children spend their day.
Our team partners with families and caregivers to support development through everyday routines, play, and meaningful interactions. Using a coaching approach, providers help families learn strategies they can use throughout the day to encourage communication, learning, participation, and independence.

A comprehensive evaluation conducted by qualified professionals to determine eligibility for the Early Intervention Program and identify each child’s developmental strengths and needs across all areas of development. Evaluations are family-centered and may include parent interviews, observations, play-based assessment, and standardized evaluation tools.

A brief screening used to identify whether a child may benefit from a full multidisciplinary evaluation. Screenings help determine if further assessment is recommended and may include observation, play-based activities, parent input, and review of developmental milestones.

Special Instruction supports a child’s overall development through play-based learning and everyday routines. Services focus on helping children build skills in areas such as communication, learning, social interaction, behavior, attention, play, and daily activities while coaching caregivers on strategies to support development throughout the day.

Physical Therapy supports the development of gross motor skills, strength, balance, coordination, posture, and mobility. Physical therapists help children improve movement skills needed for everyday activities such as rolling, sitting, crawling, standing, walking, climbing, and participating safely in daily routines and play.

Occupational Therapy supports sensory processing, fine motor development, and adaptive skills needed for everyday activities. Occupational therapists help children develop skills such as feeding, dressing, grasping, play, attention, regulation, and functional use of their hands during daily routines.

Speech Therapy helps children express their needs and wants, communicate with parents, caregivers, and others around them, and participate more successfully in everyday routines and interactions. Services may support understanding and using language, social communication, play, and feeding skills.

Social Work services support families in understanding and managing the emotional, social, and behavioral challenges that may affect a child’s development and participation in daily life. Social workers help families strengthen relationships, support positive interactions, connect with community resources, and develop strategies to support the child and family within everyday routines.
